Eda Eren is a soul singer at heart. Whether it’s going full dancefloor diva, like on the club monster “Fever” (produced by Route94 of “My Love” and Jess Glynne fame), or dialling in her Turkish heritage on the mid-tempo electro groove of “Focus” – produced by RAM Records’ drum and bass boy wonder Chords and remixed by veteran breaks producer and “Gentleman Of Leisure” Jadell – the North Londoner knows how to use her distinctive tone to give you shivers every single time.
Eda’s last single “Red and Green” was remixed by Jazztronica heroes @BlueLabBeats who turned it into a mid-tempo burner, perfect for the dance floor. Eren has just featured on Pinky Perzalle’s Turk psych monster “No Games” with drums played by none other than breaks legend Malcolm Catto.
New single “I Got You” touches on another classic UK sound: UK garage. The deep soul stepper calls to mind a middle eastern Jorja Smith but with much more to prove, and has been mixed by top mix engineer Nathan Boddy (James Blake, Mura Masa, London Grammar, Pink Pantheress, Celeste etc.)
