Creating honest art that touches its audience is the drive behind Ella Ion’s music. Hailing from Kaurna land (Adelaide, South Australia), Ion is a singer/songwriter who has been playing in an array of local bands since she was 15, and was inspired after picking up classical guitar at 10, by world, folk, post-rock and jazz music. She released her debut EP, "Lukewarm" in April 2018 (available on Band Camp) showcasing an array of haunting folk pieces inspired by artists such as Leonard Cohen, Joni Mitchell, and Jeff Buckley. With live performances ranging from raw solo sets to heavier post-rock arrangements, Ion promises to capture and move audiences with her unique and gripping style.
Ion’s debut album, "Waiting" was released on March 10th, 2023 and her album launch show will take place on the 14th of April at Jive, Adelaide (Kaurna Land).
