Ark is overall an album for lovers and all that they endure. In October ‘23, my friend <a href="spotify:artist:4mYY0UqYdvgdz60psupYBR" data-name="Buck Meek">Buck Meek</a> helped me make this record. Being Buck’s first production, I think this record emits a singular energy that cannot be reproduced. We recorded live in one room (no cans). Spirits were high, and we were all having fun. No song played more than three times while the tape was rolling — and that’s where the magic came from. It took us 5 days to record 10 tracks. Buck played bass and drove the direction of the songs. The live band also included <a href="spotify:artist:2hG2AHAv0Qpayp7bImSGO5" data-name="Adam Brisbin">Adam Brisbin</a> on electric guitar, and Jesse Quebberman-Turley on drums. <a href="spotify:artist:0czyYM9REZhiDkskxQzqQM" data-name="Germaine Dunes">Germaine Dunes</a> engineered the record and sang on several songs with me. Other contributions came from <a href="spotify:artist:4aKWmkWAKviFlyvHYPTNQY" data-name="Adrianne Lenker">Adrianne Lenker</a>, <a href="spotify:artist:4eEDUmQbFKt7p4UNEwuUUi" data-name="James Krivchenia">James Krivchenia</a>, Mat Davidson of <a href="spotify:artist:2tMcnRGaCtfz1ZyTBgHjmW" data-name="Twain">Twain</a>, Mikey Buishas, and Michael Sachs.
