Euan McLaughlin

MG Alba Trad Awards Musician Of The Year Nominee 2023, Euan McLaughlin is an accomplished multi-instrumentalist, producer, and string arranger based in Glasgow. Euan has established himself as a highly sought-after session player and collaborator, working with a diverse range of artists and performing at major events across the world including Glastonbury (UK), Goa Sunplash (India), Vancouver Folk Festival (Canada) and Festival Interceltique de Lorient (France).

Euan is part of several exciting projects, including the Dub/Folk collective <a href="spotify:artist:5qVrRD2al9wFR0OcJa1VcH" data-name="An Dannsa Dub">An Dannsa Dub</a>, the Electronic/Trad outfit <a href="spotify:artist:6gh1HzdxwTgfznOANixjNQ" data-name="Valtos">Valtos</a> and Acid Croft pioneers <a href="spotify:artist:4ss7Ucuu7OxizKCmtlIkQT" data-name="Shooglenifty">Shooglenifty</a>. He is also an in demand recording artist, having appeared on over 60 commercial recordings, as well as the ITV series &#39;Victoria&#39; and his playing regularly features across the BBC, including on Radio 1, Radio 2, and 6 Music. In recognition of his innovative contributions to traditional music, Euan was awarded the Ignition Award by Hands Up For Trad in 2022.
