In 1989 4 young men from Miami Florida, and one
from Louisville collaborated:
Dave Johnson, Edward Faison, Wayne Morrison, Princeton Cherry and Robert Wright of (Louisville KY), met at a talent show and decided to perform as a singing group “Force Five” later that year they were renamed FAZE
“Cold Sweat” written by “Robert Wright” became regionally successful and captured the attention of RCA Records executive Miller London, who signed the group in 92’ AND RELEASED the album “Love Games” re-releasing the single
“Cold Sweat” it became a hit and made them one of the premier groups of the 90’s! When the group ended Its relationship with RCA, members Dave Johnson and Princeton Cherry, left the group
the remaining members, added friend George McKenzie and signed with US Ent. A/K/A Urban Sterling Entertainment Company and released the Album
“Love Affairs”
But it failed to recapture the magic from their RCA days.
The group then took a break but group member Robert Wright began to write and produce for many artists
and having success,
along with friend and writing partners, Steve “Static Major” Garrett & long time friend and associate, Michael Sterling, Rob then contacted founding members, Edward Faison, Wayne Morrison & Dave Johnson to reunite the group once again in the studio recording their latest effort "Sweat Music" featuring the lead single
(ICE CREAM)
