Fred Nevché is a French singer, poet and musician known for his albums as well as for his collaborations with various performing arts (dance, theatre, circus, performance). Born into a family from the northern neighborhoods of Marseille, of immigrant background, his work is marked by a feeling of inner exile, always in search of an elsewhere where adventure can be found. As a response to the fractures of our time, Fred has co-founded a cultural cooperative, Grand Bonheur, bringing together artists, a label, a booking agency and a festival, and is regularly involved in meetings with the inhabitants of the areas he travels through, imagining participative and collective creative workshops based on the word and its setting in voice and/or music. Produced by French79 and Martin Mey, his latest album, Valdevaqueros - named after a windy beach in Andalusia - abolishes the borders between song, poetry, rock and electronic music, and has the refreshing effect of summer storms. With an implacable love for life, Fred Nevché pays a tribute to his inner revolutions in an attempt to reconcile our disjointed lives.
