Influencé par les littératures créoles et la culture hip hop, il sort en 2013 son premier album "Pili pili sur un croissant au beurre", puis en 2016 son premier roman "Petit Pays" (Prix Goncourt des Lycéens) qui devient un succès international.
Après les EP "Rythmes et botanique" (2017) et "Des fleurs" (2018), il remporte la Victoire de la Musique « Révélation Scène » et entame une large tournée.
En 2020 paraissent l’adaptation cinématographique de son roman "Petit Pays" et son deuxième album "Lundi Méchant", certifié disque de platine et salué par la critique.
Il clôt en 2022 sa trilogie botanique avec "Mauve Jacaranda". Son second roman, intitulé "Jacaranda", sort en 2024 et reçoit le prix Renaudot.
