Gavendri

Ending her doubt on making a career in music, Gavendri debuted as a singer/songwriter in 2021 with a track called ‘Should I’. This song was produced by Rhesa Adityarama from @Endah N Rhesa and then compiled into Pop Hari Ini’s Album Kompilasi Irama Kotak Suara.

She doesn’t stop there. She then continued to showcase her musical prowess through a 5-tracked EP entitled “Tired”, which later that year was crowned one of the Best 20 Albums of 2021 by Pop Hari Ini.

Together with RL KLAV and Moneva, she formed Salon RnB, an all-girls collective filled with R&B singer-songwriters. Since it was built in 2022, it has graced the stages of the biggest festivals in Indonesia.

Inspired by the candidness brought by Erykah Badu, Alicia Keys, and The Soulquarians she embraced the power of music and how it addresses life's challenges and the storms that follow. Rather than sugarcoating her lyrics, she prefers to use direct and honest language. Music has likely become a more natural outlet for her to express herself.

Gavendri’s music is a reflection of her soul, a journey of self-discovery and healing. She hopes that her music will have a positive impact on humanity, inspiring others to embrace their true selves and live their best lives. In 2024, she’ll present a new full-length album filled with her observations on the true colors of kindness.
