Dhira Bongs is an Indonesian singer-songwriter and music producer that has a unique sound. She is based in Bandung, Indonesia. She started making music and writing songs when she was only 10 years old. She started her musical career in 2010 as a guitarist for punk, death metal, and ska bands.
She released her first album as a solo artist in 2013. Now, she has three albums and and her latest single released in August 2024. Her music is heavily influenced by jazz, classic disco, and R&B. Combined with her experience and taste throughout her musical career, she describes her music as Explorative Pop due to her versatility in music arrangement and composition. Dhira Bongs is an AMI (Anugerah Musik Indonesia) Awards nominee for Best Contemporary R&B Solo Artist of 2023.
As a multi-instrumentalist, Dhira is celebrated for her vibrant, cheerful, and interactive stage presence, making each of her performances memorable and enjoyable. She has performed internationally, including in Japan (2017), and she was the only Indonesian soloist to perform at South by Southwest (SXSW) 2019 in Austin, Texas, USA. Dhira completed a European tour in Cologne and Amsterdam, performed at the Live at Heart Festival 2024 in Örebro, Sweden, and Music Lane Festival Okinawa 2025.
