Rapper and singer Demarco Castle, aka Gemstones, previously recorded and performed under the name Gemini. The Chicago native was featured prominently on two songs -- "Just Might Be OK" and "He Say She Say" -- on Lupe Fiasco's 2006 album Food & Liquor. After he changed his name to Gemstones, he contributed to a handful of cuts on Fiasco's 2007 follow-up, The Cool. An album of his own was planned for release through Fiasco's 1st & 15th label, but he ultimately scrapped it and opted to release strictly Christian music. Though Gemstones had released a handful of mixtapes from 2006 through 2012, it wasn't until 2015 that he issued his first proper album, Blind Elephant. ~ Andy Kellman, Rovi
