Sho Baraka, born in Canada, formed his creative identity in Southern California. Growing up in the household of an activist and Hollywood seamstress, Sho knew he would end up doing something in the world of art. Sho Baraka's debut album, Turn My Life Up, was released in 2007, followed by Lions and Liars in 2010. He left Lecrae's label in 2011 and one year later released Talented 10th which catalyzed his work as an activist and thought leader. Sho would release The Narrative (2016), addressing social, cultural, and political issues.
Whether he’s in the classroom as a professor, on stage as an artist, in the streets as an activist or in the boardroom as a consultant, Sho is combining his artistic ingenuity with his scholastic foundation to contribute a unique perspective in multiple arenas.
