Having recently stepped away from the fast pace of London, Noodles remains fully immersed in his passion for music. With his extensive record collection finally out of storage and more time spent in the studio, he’s focused on creating a fresh take on garage music while staying true to his roots.
Since his first rave in Paris at just 17, his mission has always been simple: to make people dance.
Years spent working in record shops and selling vinyl gave Noodles valuable insight into what resonates with listeners. Guided by his belief that “trends out-trend themselves,” he has always focused on releasing authentic music through his label, DPR, which he founded in 1997. DPR became the home for his seminal Groove Chronicles project, where he developed his signature hybrid sound—a blend of garage, dub, and jungle.
As a driving force behind Groove Chronicles, Noodles played a key role in shaping UK garage, with tracks like “Angel Body,” “Stone Cold,” and “Black Puppet” becoming foundational for movements like 2-step, dubstep, and grime. Recently, his collaboration with producer Dubchild has brought a fresh energy to his evolving sound, infusing new ideas into his already dynamic approach to garage music. This partnership continues to push boundaries, blending the classic with the new. Noodles’ dedication to expanding his hybrid style ensures he remains at the forefront of the scene, always innovating while staying true to his roots.
