Haysen Cheng

Haysen Cheng is a rapper, singer and songwriter from Hong Kong who began releasing songs independently in 2019 and gained regional buzz after multiple music videos from his first projects “Durags & Chopsticks” and “North Point Demos, Vol. 1” were building up traction, which led to increasing interest from major labels. In 2021, Haysen Cheng moved to Mainland China and officially joined IRIS Creative, a collective based in Chengdu that includes Harikiri and Vinida Weng, where he debuted with his 2022 EP “Don Chino” that charted at Top 50 in China and included guest features from Higher Brothers member KnowKnow and GALI. After his collab EP “Angels & Demons” with Clutch離合 (and featuring legendary American rapper Lil B) was well received, the momentum was followed up with an explosive guest verse on the viral hit single “Tsim Sha Tsui” from DIGI GHETTO member KIV’s sophomore album “Tai Zi”, which served as a catalyst for Haysen Cheng’s Cantonese-inspired debut album “Hong Kong Don”, released recently in March 2025 and features a star-studded roster of Vinida Weng, Novel Fergus, KIV, Clutch離合, and YHL. Singles from the album peaked at Number 9 on the charts in China and landed on various Spotify editorial playlists.

Haysen Cheng draws inspiration from personal life experiences and delivers grimy, hard hitting flows equally as well as surprisingly exquisite melodies through distinctively smooth transitions between native English, Cantonese and Mandarin.
