The short-lived band named Hologram only came about due to a schism within the ranks of New Wave of British Heavy Metal also-rans <a href="spotify:artist:5VuuqhhYM8cRN6yA0qrq6R">Holocaust</a>, with Edinburgh, Scotland-based guitarist Ed Dudley and drummer Raymond Marciano hooking up with new vocalist Gordon Band and enigmatic one-name bassist Nelson to start afresh in 1982. Their debut album, Steal the Stars, emerged through Phoenix Records a year later, and found them pursuing a commercial brand of hard rock, far more accessible than <a href="spotify:artist:5VuuqhhYM8cRN6yA0qrq6R">Holocaust</a>'s brutish heavy metal sound -- yet even less successful, in the end, and it was to be Hologram's last. Neither the band nor its musicians have ever been heard from again. ~ Eduardo Rivadavia, Rovi
