An extreme punk-metal group featuring members of Bone Awl and Rorschach, New York City's Raspberry Bulbs emerged in the early 2010's with a subversive blend of occult-themed punk and gritty and existential lo-fi black metal.
Founded by Bone Awl drummer Marco Del Rio (aka He Who Crushes Teeth), the project blazed its way into the underground with the release of Nature Tries Again in 2011. A largely solo endeavor, Del Rio expanded the group into a five-piece for 2013's blackened Deformed Worship and 2014's bruising Privacy.
