“God Will Dry My Weeping Eyes,” the only release from the Horace Family, was one of the many recordings released by One Way during the 1970s that never made a dent in the gospel market. The Horace’s lay down a skin-tight vocal and the backing track is of grade A+ James Brown quality, rock solid from Genesis to Revelation with a s moldering hi-hat ride to remind the faithful that temptation is never far away. If there are other recordings by this family ensemble or their intrepid leader Jean Horace, they are under different names. They moved to Chicago from the south shortly before this recording, and disappeared soon after.
