Forged along the Windsor-Detroit border, Huron Lines is a Canadian post-noise rock band blending grit, melody, and sonic tension. Their new EP Overthinker coming October 24th, 2025 on Chieftown Music marks a confident step forward — capturing the chaos and contemplation of modern life in four fierce tracks recorded with Marc Jacob Hudson (Cursive, Against Me!, Thursday) and mastered by Alan Douches (Baroness, Converge).
After establishing themselves as a Canadian band on the rise with the release of their 2021 debut Lost At The Border and their 2023 follow-up Found In Floods which were recorded in the garage rehearsal space outside of Windsor, the band sought out an opportunity to take a sonic step forward. Overthinker finds the quartet sharpening their sound: louder, leaner, and more emotionally direct. “No Way Out,” the lead single, channels the feeling of being boxed in — emotionally, physically, existentially — with punchy basslines, jagged guitars, and a propulsive urgency. Thematically, the record leans into anxiety, analysis paralysis, and what it means to push through.
Huron Lines is led by Dave Mueller (ex-Full White Drag) on vocals/guitar, joined by guitarist Grainger Harris, bassist RJ Brando (Silent Movie Type), and drummer Nick Mitchell (NC17). While Found in Floods captured the isolation of lockdowns, Overthinker is the sound of emergence — a concise, bruising meditation on over-stimulation and the drive to reconnect.
