Interstellar Noise is the recording project of multi-instrumentalist Rob Campbell based out of Asheville, NC. Campbell blends ambient soundscapes with swirling synths, ethereal melodies, and spacey guitars. His debut EP, Fernweh, was released in late 2018. Fernweh is marked by dreamy, nostalgic ambient passages and a pervasive sense of longing coupled with a desire to explore.
Interstellar Noise's first full-length album, Lost in the Void, was released on January 17th, 2020. The album combines downtempo electronic, dream-pop, synthwave, ambient, and trip-hop into a cohesive whole connected by lush, icy synthesizers and ethereal melodies. Interstellar Noise released Worlds Just Beyond Reach - a sprawling, atmospheric space epic on December 18th, 2020. The album is full of reflective synth soundscapes and shimmering guitars - echoing the feeling of traveling through the cosmos.
On May 10, 2024, Interstellar Noise released Universal Being - an ethereal, immersive concept album inspired by Ralph Waldo Emerson's "Nature."
