Born Chia Orseer John, Jay Teazer's fusion of R&B/Soul, Afrobeat, and Pop hasn’t gone unnoticed. He has collaborated with top acts such as Ice Prince, Koshen, Walshy Fire of Major Lazer, Oxlade, Phyno, Silly Walks Discotheque, Erigga, and KLY, with multiple tracks charting across various music platforms.
Jay Teazer was introduced to the world with the release of his debut tracks “Better Champagne” and “African Girl," which featured Oxlade, in 2019. He went on to release a 7-track debut EP "Teazer" in 2020, which included notable collaboration with South African singer KLY. In 2022, he collaborated with Legendary Rapper Erigga for "Strange Vibes" EP, and went on to drop his Sophomore EP, “Pure Gold" in 2023.
Fast forward to 2024, he released “Blood in My Eyes,” “Go Harder,” and also teamed up with BET Award winner for Best International Act: Africa, Ice Prince. Having previously collaborated with Ice Prince on “FOREVER”—the soundtrack for Africa Magic’s TV series "My Fairytale Wedding"—Jay Teazer returned with a two-track release titled “DELA.” The focus track, “OGINI,” is a vibrant blend of Afrobeat and R&B, featuring rich African percussion and heartfelt lyrics that celebrate love.
