No strangers to the happy blending of the East and West, JAYASRI today occupy a top spot in the world music talent list, often being call upon to enliven cultural events, Festivals, Tours in all continents with their particular brand of rhythm and energetic motion. The 7 members multicultural band goes through different music clashes like Asian DUB + Ragga + Reggae + Roots + Dancehall + Traditional Asian (Sri Lanka, India) & African riddims and chants + Chillout and Hip hop a Rhythmic-Firework.
JAYASRI´ s creativity expands through film music and songs in award winning films locally “Mille Soya-Bonjourno Italia”(Best Film Presidents Awards) and internationally “Machan” – European Venice Film Festival 2008 ITALY–(Best Film- European Cinema Belt ,Best Film-Palm beach Film Festival Florida USA) with 6 original songs, directed by Oscar nominated Italian Director Uberto Pasolini.
JAYASRI has opened and performed with such international artists as Third World, UB40, Alpha Blondy, The Wailers, Inner Circle, Temptations, Ziggy Marley, Marla Glen, Anjelique Kidjo, Shaggy, Falco, Gentleman and many more.
