Jesse Dayton’s highly anticipated new album ‘The Hard Way Blues’ was produced by the acclaimed Shooter Jennings. The album marks a deeper exploration into Dayton's blues side, following his recent Grammy nomination for "Contemporary Blues Album of the Year" together with Samantha Fish. Album opener "The Hard Way," is a roots anthem that delves into Jesse’s wild and rebellious journey, spinning a tale of making one's way with a bit of recklessness and swagger. "Of course, the lyrics, like all my songs, are built around situations I'm surprised I lived through growing up on the Texas/Louisiana border," jests Dayton.

A towering figure in Outlaw Country, renowned for his virtuoso guitar skills and distinctive style, Dayton blazed trails blending Texas Rockabilly and Country with Punk Rock with his band, the Road Kings. Working with legends Johnny Cash and Waylon Jennings paved the way for decades of diverse partnerships, including Death Wish Blues with blues sensation Samantha Fish, country icons Willie Nelson and Glen Campbell, rock rebels Guns 'N Roses' Duff McKagan and Glenn Danzig, and even visionary horror filmmaker Rob Zombie.

It’s been three decades since his debut topped the Americana charts introducing Jesse as equal parts rock & roll greaser, country craftsman, and bluesy rule-breaker. For some artists, that timespan would amount to an entire career. For Dayton, it's just a prelude to the here and now.
