Joakim Tinderholt & his band was formed in Oslo, Norway, in 2005, by members from the legendary blues club Muddy Waters’ houseband, in addition to Tinderholt himself.
The band has released two records. The debut «You Gotta Do More», from 2014, was rewarded with nominations for a Norwegian Grammy and the American Blues Blast Music Awards. The follow-up, «Hold On», from 2017, gave another Norwegian Grammy nominations and multiple rave reviews.
Since the band signed with German record label Rhythm Bomb Records they’ve established themselves as a strong act on the European Blues- and Rock n’roll scene, with performances at Screamin’ Festival (Spain), Rhythm Riot (England) and Moulin Blues (Holland) as some of the many highligts. The band represented Norway at the European Blues Challenge, in Hell, in 2018.
In 2019 Joakim Tinderholt & his band will release the single «Love Is A 4 Letter Word», and over 20 domestic and international concert dates are already confirmed. Joakim Tinderholt will also perform in London, at the «Norwegian Blues Adventure», in November.
