John has been officially releasing music since 2016, but he has been writing and recording music since he was 14 years old. Live he has played as a solo artist, in rock bands, cover bands, jazz big bands and he even did a stint in his high school orchestral band whose performance was released as an LP back in the day. Though he doesn’t play live much, he has graced the iconic Toronto stages of Roy Thompson Hall, the Horseshoe Tavern, The Supermarket, C’est What and more. Deep down he identifies first and foremost as a songwriter, which is the reason he became a musician in the first place. Proof is in the pudding as the songs pour out of him - he’s released 15 albums since 2016!

Beyond being a solo artist he also works from time to time as a producer. In 2025 he produced the debut single “It Is What It Isn’t” by Lexi Cosentino, the debut album by Jonathan Sanson called “I Was Gonna Be Drinking Anyway”, as well as the Yacht Rock album ‘Rum & Jasmine’ by Bamtone & Lewitt.

He has found than working in Film & TV sync is a great what to satisfy his songwriting itch and he is always producing music for use in Film & TV. In the past two years alone his music has appeared in these TV shows and Films; 7 Little Johnstons, ESPN Portraits, Temptation Island, Young & The Restless, Couer de Trucker, Famille est Dans Le Pre, Hundkatzemaus, Rekkakuskit Suomi, Les feux de l’amour, MURMUR.

John is also a philanthropist who loves supporting great music initiatives in Canada.
