Jazz pianist, composer and electro-pop music producer, Joran Cariou was born in Annecy (Haute-Savoie) in France. He discovered various styles of music under the influence of his parents when young and started to play keyboards at the age of 12 and then piano at 15. He studied in Conservatory and at Centre des Musiques Didier Lockwood.
In 2011, he settled in Paris, where he played in various formations and worked with diverse artists in Jazz, and many other styles like Anthony Jambon Group (modern Jazz), Daïda, Les Coquettes (Humor), Benjamin Henocq (Jazz), Oko Ebombo (Trip-hop), Natalia Doco (Argentinian songs).
In 2015, he started his own trio to establish his own style of music by mixing jazz, pop, folk and improvisation.
