JULIEN-K is an American electronic rock band formed in 2003 by Amir Derakh and Ryan Shuck, both founding members of Orgy. A visionary blend of industrial rock, synthwave, and dark electronic music, the band fuses gritty guitars, pulsing synths, and introspective lyrics to craft a futuristic, cyberpunk-tinged soundscape. Since their debut Death to Analog (2009), they’ve continued to evolve across standout releases like We're Here With You (2012), the two-part California Noir (2015–16), and Harmonic Disruptor (2020).

Latest Release: DRK|MODE (2025)

DRK|MODE is a purely electronic, dark-industrial creation that strips away traditional guitars in favor of a relentless "synthetic 4-on-the-floor heartbeat." Announced via an Indiegogo campaign in March 2024—smashing records with over $25,000 raised on its first day and concluding at $41,834—it represents the culmination of the band’s exploration into a manufactured, dystopian sound universe. Singles like “Your Tears Mean Nothing,” “The Hydra,” and “Static Whispers” offer a taste of this gritty, machine-driven evolution. Slated for release in spring 2025, DRK|MODE promises to immerse listeners in a haunting electronic odyssey.

With a dedicated underground following, a reputation for electrifying live shows, and a philosophy that embraces their fanbase as collaborators, JULIEN-K continues pushing the boundaries of electronic-rock fusion—launching themselves firmly into a darker, more experimental future with DRK|MODE.
