June’s Diary is an American girl group formed on “Chasing Destiny,” BET’s 2016 docu-series helmed by Destiny’s Child alumna, Kelly Rowland, and creative director, Frank Gatson Jr. to form the next hit girl group. After an extensive nationwide search, five girls were picked out of a line-up of thousands: Ashly Williams, Gabby Carreiro, Shyann Roberts, Brienna DeVlugt and Kristal Smith. Following the show, the group released 2017’s Male Edition mixtape, a collection featuring covers of iconic male musical groups. In 2018, June’s Diary released their debut EP All of Us and immediately landed atop the iTunes R&B/Soul charts – a huge feat for an independent act. Their latest release,Take Your Time, is an ode to the quintet’s resilience over the years as an indie music group based across the country.
