Formed in 1979 in Leighton Buzzard, England, the band originally performed under the name Art Nouveau before rebranding as Kajagoogoo. The group consisted of Nick Beggs (bass, vocals), Limahl (lead vocals), Steve Askew (guitar), Stuart Neale (keyboards), and Jez Strode (drums).
