Kaleo Sansaa is a Berlin based Artist with a mesmerizing and unique Sound. Sun-Drunk Sound and Solar-Based Hip-Hop, is what she calls her unique style of Music. The sun is her greatest source of inspiration. She pays tribute to it in her name „SANSAA": SAN=SUN (German for sun) and "SAA" (Swahili) for "time". Her debut album ‘Solarbased Kwing’ will be followed by her second album in September 2023.
Kaleo Sansaa has been nominated for a number of awards across Europe: in 2018 she won the award for Best Music Video at the Berlin Short Film Festival and was nominated for the POP NRW Award in 2019. With new album ‘Solarbased Kwing’, Kaleo Sansaa was featured by numerous German media including Musikexpress, Rosa Mag, WDR Cosmo, WDR 3 and Deutschlandfunk Kultur and many more. After gracing the stages of Pop Kultur, Dockville and Ruhrtrienale she supported Noga Erez, Alli Neumann and Nneka on Tour.
