Guitarist/Singer Kaleta (real name, Leon Ligan-Majekodunmi ) hails from Porto Novo in the republic of Benin, but lived all his adolescent life in Lagos, Nigeria, a stone's throw from Benin. Kaleta has played, toured and recorded with Fela Kuti, King Sunny Ade, Lauryn Hill and Majek Fashek to name a few. Kaleta is the frontman to New York based Afro-Funk afrobeat group Super Yamba Band Band as well as Akoya Afrobeat Ensemble & Kaleta Zozo Afrobeat. He has also collaborated extensively with Colombia-based producer Bosq, crafting such hits as "Wake Up", "Dem Know" & "Backstrokin'" together.
