Karun is a Nairobi-based Alternative R&B/Soul musician whose music is honest and meditative blending soulful vocals with eclectic production.

With 16 years in the music industry, Karun is a seasoned veteran. She first rose to prominence as a founding member of the BET-nominated group Camp Mulla and has since carved out a successful solo career. Her milestones include becoming a voting member of the Recording Academy (GRAMMYs), being named to Forbes Africa’s 30 Under 30 list, being a Berklee College Of Music Alumni and receiving honors such as R&B Artist of the Year (Café Ngoma) and a WEBBY Award for the animated series She Creates Change, where she both voiced a character and contributed to the soundtrack.

As a solo artist, Karun has reached millions of listeners worldwide. She has released five projects spanning Soul, R&B, Afro-pop, Afro-House, and lullabies, and has collaborated across the continent on standout singles like “Only You - A COLORS SHOW”, “Let Me” (with South African Msaki and Swiss artist Nnavy), and “Anticipate” (with Kenyan Xenia Manasseh).

With co-signs from Rema and Mr Eazi, and global partnerships with platforms like COLORS, Spotify Africa and Focusrite, Karun continues to resonate widely, cementing her place in the evolving alternative music landscape.
