Mopao Mumu is a Montreal-based singer-songwriter blending soul, R&B, and Afrobeat with a distinct diasporic flair. Born in Kinshasa and raised in South Africa, her music pays tribute to Congolese icons like Mbilia Bel and Tshala Muana, while carving a space entirely her own. Since launching her career in 2020, she’s collaborated with artists like Pierre Kwenders and DJ Karaba, performed at the 2023 Montreal International Jazz Festival, and headlined Studio TD in 2024.
