Kassian is an exploration in Techno, Bass and Electronica fronted by Warren Cummings and Joe Danvers.
Since starting their project in 2019, Kassian have been gathering more and more momentum, releasing records on Heist, Phonica Records and Shall Not Fade and evolving their sound from groove-laden House towards more leftfield threads of Techno and UK Bass. Their own imprint Faux Poly launched early in 2022 and hosts four of their own releases all receiving major support from the likes of Ben UFO, Four Tet, Floating Points, Daphni, Tom Ravenscroft (BBC R6), Emerald (Rinse), Mary Anne Hobbs (BBC R6), George Fitzgerlad, DJ Seinfeld and more. In 2023, Kassian released their EP ‘Phase Two’ with the esteemed !K7 Records.
Kassian have been busy working the DJ circuit too with gigs at Panorama Bar, HÖR, A.D.E. and Watergate, as well as regular gigs in their hometown, London. Their label parties have all sold out, with the most recent one at the Pickle Factory in collaboration with Origins. The impressive duo have delighted crowds at festivals like Love International, Kala festival and Madruga and have successfully concluded their first US-Tour this February 2024. And if all of that wasn’t enough, Kassian have also landed a residency at the legendary London community radio Rinse FM which has been ongoing for more than six months.
