It has been 5 years since Nicolas Cubillos undertook his musical odyssey with Lachinos, in which, with the collaboration of musicians such as Julien Cavard, Raphael Nauleau, Sebastien Politi, Danny Kendrick, Marius Atherton and Narimane Baba Aïssa from the city of Paris, in 2020 he consolidated his first EP America Lachina published with the label Goutte d'Or records. In these four songs full of lysergic magic we make an ode to the Latin American music that was danced in the house. We travel to merengue, cha cha cha, cumbia or even the rhythms of Brazilian surf, together in a bizarre and powerful staging. This production has two remixes created by Frente Cumbiero and Eblis Alvarez (Meridian Brothers), who also mixed the EP, contributing the tradition of the tropical Bogotana.
Currently the band is made up of important actors in the avant-garde music scene in Peru and Colombia: Ernesto Velarde (Moldes, Juan Wauters) on drums, Santiago Jimenez (Mamíferos, Las Migrañas) keyboards and voice, John Socha (Romperayo, Nkumba System, the Makina of the Caribbean) on bass.
They already have toured extraland, mars, brittany, and played at important events such as the Pan Piper with the Pirañas and the disquaire day in Paris,
Fall of 2022, Lachinos published the second EP Costa Brava through Goutte d'or, a heartfelt exploration of pink sauce with a Japanese tint, merengues and lonely vampires.
