Lé Betre played blues influenced rock music. The band was founded in Leksand, a small village in Sweden back in 2011. The band quit playing together as Lé Betre in March 2016.
The quartet released two EPs (A Bat And A Unicorn 2011 & Gentlemens Club Cabin 2012) before recording their debut album Melas in late February 2014. It has been described as a 9 track trip out of time sending the listener into a place filled with melancholy but yet intimacy. The record was released on their own gramophone label making it possible to ship the vinyls in pizza boxes world wide out of their living rooms.
In addition to the last album STB Records released a split 12" vinyl including songs from all previous work of Lé Betre. The record was released early 2015 with King Buffalo originating from New York.
"If you close your eyes and pretend that you are not in Falun, Sweden in 2013, one might think that you are in England, and that the year is 1972. But if you choose to keep your eyes open you also get the aesthetic that this music requires. The entire band's performance feels very professional, and the vocals, well, I don't know when I last heard a voice like that." - Dalarnas daily newspaper DT.se
Lé Betre was Marcus Jonsson on vocals/guitar, Anders Westman on guitar, Roger Lysén on Bass and Jonas Sahlberg on drums.
