Not to be confused with the young French singer of the same name, Lina is an operatic-sounding neo-soul singer from Texas, who fuses contemporary R&B with the style (and samples) of classic swing and vocal jazz. Titled after her cover of the <a href="spotify:artist:32LHRiof0sa4taYew9i3Fa">Dinah Washington</a> number, Lina's ambitious debut album Stranger on Earth was released in 2001, producing the distinctive hit single "Playa No More." ~ Steve Huey
