Drawing on tradition while looking toward the future, LoopArc – an innovative violin–cello duo – treats music as a living, expressive language. The interplay between Stefano Zeni and Marco Remondini blends classical roots with electronics, original textures and improvisation, guiding listeners through a vivid journey of sound and emotion.
Their artistic partnership began over ten years ago in a string quartet that combined classical foundations with a pop-rock sensibility. This connection later evolved into Mutanti Musicali (2019), a trio with vocalist Boris Savoldelli, where violin, cello and voice were reshaped through electronics and experimentation. The ensemble, later joined by jazz master Gianluigi Trovesi, pushed beyond stylistic boundaries to create expressive performances.
Building on this experience, Zeni and Remondini launched LoopArc, reimagining classical repertoire – from the Baroque to the twentieth century – through electronics, improvisation and a free, open approach. The result is a sonic journey across centuries and cultures.
Released on 19 September 2025 by Memory Recordings, Classic (Not) offers eclectic reinterpretations of works by Vivaldi, Beethoven, Purcell, Pachelbel and Shostakovich, spanning baroque virtuosity, Viennese classicism and contemporary influences from tango to rock.
In parallel, LoopArc collaborated with composer and pianist Fabrizio Paterlini. Their album Layers was released on 14 November 2025, also on Memory Recordings.
