LOVEBITES

Formed in Tokyo in 2016, this all-female metal band debuted in May 2017 with the EP THE LOVEBITES EP, mixed by Mikko Karmila and mastered by Mika Jussila, renowned for work with Nightwish and Children of Bodom. Their first full album, Awakening from Abyss, released on October 25, ranked 18th on Oricon and was followed by shows in Japan and the UK. In 2018, they played Vans Warped Tour Japan, released the mini-album Battle Against Damnation, and appeared at major festivals including Wacken Open Air and Bloodstock. December saw their second album, Clockwork Immortality, and a sold-out Japan tour, plus a European tour with X-ray Touring. In 2019, they supported Arch Enemy in China, released their first live album, and performed at Download Festival, Graspop, and Summer Sonic, later joining DragonForce’s UK tour.
Their third album, Electric Pentagram (2020), hit Oricon’s Top 10, followed by a live Blu-ray topping charts. In 2021, they released Glory, Glory, to the World and toured Japan, but bassist Miho left in August, leading to a hiatus. A best-of album closed the year. After auditions, Fami joined in October 2022. The band returned with Judgement Day (2023), reaching Oricon #5, and sold out tours worldwide. Their live release topped DVD/Blu-ray charts. In June 2024, they launched their first world tour, visiting Europe, Japan, and the U.S. From January to March 2026, they will tour Japan, culminating in their first Nippon Budokan show on March 29.
