Singer and musician, LushKells raised in East London crafting soulful and uplifting music. Her Influences began while performing in the gospel church and incessantly singing over her massive R&B collection in the late 90s. While studying oboe and piano in the local Hackney youth orchestra she began writing original music and developing her wordplay, filling up countless notebooks.
After ambitiously releasing her first EP independently in 2018, ‘Make It Your Own’ LushKells rolled into summer 2020 with her breakout hit ‘King and Queen’ that was released on Sony Music, Columbia Records UK.
This collaboration from her and DTee In de Party was remixed by household names DJ Supa D and Mr Taffa with another rework from Paul Woolford receiving worldwide recognition on the likes of BBC Radio 1, Channel 4 Sunday Brunch and being championed by the best DJ's and artists on the House scene such as DJ Spoony, DJ Pioneer and Heartless Crew.
As a singer, LushKells commands a strong voice that floats between timeless elements, influenced by Amapiano, house, R&B, soul and jazz, when she steps to the mic. Her output has continued and continues to flourish in the studio with projects such as Beautiful - released 2023, and LushKells brings that same energy out on the road with her wherever she performs, from club nights to festivals.
