When UK garage was enjoying its peak in the mid-90s, along came M-Dubs. Formed by producer and DJ Dennis M-Dub and co-producer RK.
Releasing six singles between 1994 and 2000, M-Dubs came out of the underground and into the mainstream with their instantly recognisable garage anthem, Bump ‘N’ Grind (I am Feeling Hot Tonight). Featuring vocals from one of Jamaica’s Queens of Dancehall, Lady Saw, the track rocketed to No.59 in the UK Singles chart.
Other tracks from M-Dubs include M-Dubs Vol 1 and Vol 2 produced by Dennis M-Dub and Willy P (Dubaholics), Over You (1997), I Got the Music (1997), Destiny (1998), Over Here (1998) which originated from Vol 1 and was later remixed with vocals from Richie Dan, For Real (1999).
After splitting at the turn of the millennium, Dennis and Ras went their separate ways.
