Makeda is the best known musician in her home city of Bonn. In Cologne and Vienna, she sang the main role in the musical “The Bodyguard”. In 2019, she placed second at the German pre-selection for the Eurovision Song Contest with "The Day I Loved You Most". In the same year, she sang the German national anthem at the Hockenheimring Formula 1 Grand Prix. Even Christina Aguilera is among her steadily growing fanbase, certifying that she has “soul in all the right places”. Makeda is currently working on her first solo album, on the quest for her identity and the place where she belongs, at times with a bass, sometimes a piano, Ableton or even a guitar in her backpack. “With my music I try to bring up the experiences we all have hidden deep down inside, hold them up to the light and take them with me on my journey, because they are what make life worth living in the first place.”
