Formed in the Spring of 2018, Malibu ‘92 is a four-piece Pop/Rock/Alternative band from St. Louis dedicated to pushing boundaries and coming together to make something greater than themselves. Malibu '92, often affectionately referred to as 'The Bu', dropped their debut single 'Chemical Caroline' in February 2019, a youthful, energetic Pop/Rock/Alternative alternative song that would serve to set the tone for the remainder of the singles to come in anticipation of their debut EP, The Move. The final song on the EP, Burn, would subsequently go on to become a TikTok sensation and ignite the world.
In the summer of 2021, The Bu released their sophomore EP Weaponize Your Love, a collection of four songs accompanied by four music videos, telling the story of young, naive heroes the Goldenhearts and their quest for power, rivaled only by the vicious Lipreaders. Malibu '92 would go on that year to open for the Plain White T's, become even closer homies, and potentially work on new music (shh)
