Malvae

<a href="spotify:artist:3xDYZyU0u2UORxJh6BcZe4" data-name="Malvae">Malvae</a> is an Amsterdam-based electronic producer blending field recordings, processed vocals, and analog synthesis into atmospheric, emotionally driven music. Raised between the Netherlands and New Zealand, he shapes natural textures into a sound that feels intimate yet expansive.

He first gained international attention with <a href="spotify:album:0Ejh9aRtwiHpJqoyZ7uuM4" data-name="Haunts Me">Haunts Me</a> w/<a href="spotify:artist:4Eq842LsSWEo0xm9TPe6ND" data-name="Esther Veen">Esther Veen</a>, which reached #17 on Spotify’s Viral 50 USA. Followed by releases on Cloudkid and his debut album <a href="spotify:album:5t4gBbc1RNdAVwE1c3kMz7" data-name="Amazonas">Amazonas</a>, crafted from sounds recorded during a 2,000-kilometre journey through the Amazon Rainforest. This independent album defined his blend of nature and electronics.

In 2024 he released the Chrysalis EP, pairing detailed sound design with analog warmth and earning support from 3voor12, Cultr, and Run The Trap. He then debuted <a href="spotify:album:3Pm271BHg0KwCCwgwiWXxr" data-name="Like Bees To A Hive">Like Bees To A Hive</a>, a collaboration with poet Julia-Beth Harris featured in Lobomar’s fashion show at the Amsterdam World Museum.

In 2025 he followed with <a href="spotify:album:2Fjcdrv8J9e0j7HnSMuuEn" data-name="Division">Division</a>, an EP with Jaro on Tabula Rasa Records supported by Rinse FM. Recently he has released with Amsterdam imprint Who’s Susan, collaborating with <a href="spotify:artist:1HYEbZ42CBI8MsAa2TdDnj" data-name="Eli Mich">Eli Mich</a> and <a href="spotify:artist:6sUbCA1obWzdoJ1FM3I9Ks" data-name="GANZ">GANZ</a>, and expanded his work with Tabula Rasa through the FAULTLINE EP featuring <a href="spotify:artist:6sUbCA1obWzdoJ1FM3I9Ks" data-name="GANZ">GANZ</a>, <a href="spotify:artist:3qMm1Wmx2QJI3KNk9hzi3q" data-name="Bastian Benjamin">Bastian Benjamin</a>, AUST, and <a href="spotify:artist:3AMDhBn0zTUgeY5o7Wplxh" data-name="uramaki.">uramaki.</a> premiered at Amsterdam Dance Event.

Malvae’s live sets translate his detailed production into dynamic, high-energy performances. Having played at Melkweg, A’DAM Tower, and OT301, he brings textural sound design and emotional intensity to the dancefloor.
