Mark Wonder expresses his spiritual essence and raises cultural awareness through his music. Born in Jamaica, where he started his first singing attempts in the local soundsystem scene, his music was highly influenced by his mother's R&B
record collection as well as known Jamaican roots & reggae artists. Dennis Brown in particular inspired him to become a singer. His first recordings were produced and released at King Jammy and Black Scorpio studios. Today he is one of the top roots-singers. With his unique style, Mark Wonder released several albums and singles on international reggae labels and has toured Europe as well as the US.
He writes his own lyrics, using his powerful voice to sing about Rastafari, social injustice, spirituality and calls for revolution. Love songs are also part of his repertoire.
