Marcus Derrick Hunt, better known as “Marky D” was born right before the golden era of
hip-hop. Growing up in Whittier California just outside Los Angeles, his taste in music is a mixture of various genres ranging from classic oldies to modern day hip-hop.
After the passing of his cousin who had a strong influence on him, “Marky D” put all of his efforts into his music; expressing his emotions and keeping his cousin alive. To this day his cousin is the driving force behind his music. “Marky D” is a huge fanatic of sneakers, cranberry juice , and stand-up comedy, he is always one to say.......“When I get there, I’m gonna sit there”
A true showman “Marky D’s stage show is incredible to say the least, he rhyme flow to his lyrical arsenale is what makes “Marky D” second to none! Its truly what caught the ear of E-40 which turn into E-40 featuring on one of Marky D’s Hottest Singles “EVERYBODY” that dropped This Summer also with a music video to support the single.
