Matteo Vallicelli is a Berlin-based Italian musician who produces tense, eerie ambient and minimal synth compositions. Vallicelli originally made his name as a part of Rome's underground punk scene, drumming for numerous bands including <a href="spotify:artist:1hQ5H9Pc66NjOgAPWzStVv">Smart Cops</a> and <a href="spotify:artist:4dOHNlHgGhV2wQ4Ddsdbql">Wildmen</a>. In 2013, he moved to the Kreuzberg district of Berlin and began experimenting with electronic instruments and computer editing. He toured as the drummer for <a href="spotify:artist:40HeNm05FEAxGx8gUOV4my">the Soft Moon</a> and <a href="spotify:artist:2j12c3re68CrVo3WB1NDMq">Death Index</a>, but he continued to develop his solo electronic sound. In 2017, <a href="spotify:search:label%3A%22Captured+Tracks%22">Captured Tracks</a> (also home to <a href="spotify:artist:40HeNm05FEAxGx8gUOV4my">the Soft Moon</a>) released Vallicelli's debut solo LP Primo. ~ Paul Simpson, Rovi
