Born and raised in the Free State mining town of Welkom South Africa, Max-Hoba (The Traveling Man) is an accomplished singer songwriter, producer, label owner and performer with the love for travel and culture. He is currently one of the Brand South Africa’s Play Your Part Ambassadors, Vuyani Dance Theatre Ambassador and former Oxfam Pan Africa goodwill ambassador (WOMEN FOOD CLIMATE CAMPAIGN). He has played a pivotal role in the rise of HipHop and AfroSoul in South Africa and has since established himself as one of the most trusted entertainers. Under his label Hobacity Productions he has released and toured two albums namely Making History and Traveling Man (nominated for SAMA Awards, WAWELA Awards, CMJ WORLD MUSIC CHARTS). Currently Max-Hoba is set to release his third studio album BEYELE – THE JOURNEY CONTINUES, recorded and produced by French producer David Felgeirolles in Paris and distributed by Berlin based German company PARADISE DISTRIBUTION and is set to tour this album extensively. He has toured across Southern Africa and many parts of the world including the Nairobi, Accra, New York, Paris, Brussels, Amsterdam, Barcelona, Hamburg, Copenhagen, Austin and Cannes. This new body of work is set to propel Max-Hoba to the greater heights as it’s already receiving rave reviews from industry players
