Merlin is downtempo/psychill/psydub project from Slobodan Gacesa aka Vertex.
Slobodan started his music journey at the young age of nine when he started to learn how to play keyboard piano.
In his teen age he played keyboard at few rock and pop bands.
At the end of his high school days he get more in electronic music and few years after that in 2005 he makes his first steps in
music production of psy trance music.
In 2008 he joined forces with Nikola Kozic aka Zyce and created Progressive Trance project Vertex.
After the years od collaboration and 2 studio albums, Slobodan took the lead and in 2017 friends decied to split,
resulting in Vertex being solo project of Slobodan.
Around 2012 Slobodan started to produce some more ambient and downtempo beats and Merlin project was born.
In 2014 Merlin project was signed for Altar Records from Canada for which he released 2 studio albums.
Debut album under the name 'Magic Potion' was released on 2015 and second album with Lydia DeLay aka Lidia Pivarski
named 'Infinity' was released in 2019.
Beside albums Merlin also released few EP's and singles and had been selected on numerous VA compilation.
Slobodan is at the moment in the proces of making the 3rd studio album, this time in a collaboration with Sufi's Life aka Jovan Tot
with he already relased a lot of psychill/psydub collaboration tracks.
Album will be released on Altar Records during this year 2021.
