Described by Metal Injection as “easily one of the best damn bands you’ve not heard of yet”, British 5-piece
Midnight Realm is gaining momentum as one of the most exciting metal bands coming out of the north of
England. Their take on melodic death metal has built them a dedicated underground global following, and
with their latest release ‘Engineering the Apocalypse’ they look poised to reach new heights.

The band’s 2012 debut record ‘Polarissima’ was an accomplished fusion of melodic metal and orchestral
score that earned them a cult underground following. Featuring drum arrangements from Alex Rüdinger
(Whitechapel, Threat Signal, The Faceless etc) the single ‘Solaris’ is still found in top melodic death metal
streaming playlists.

Building on the success of their first album, the band returned in 2014 with their follow-up track ‘The Rebuild’ but announced soon after they were taking an indefinite hiatus. Revealing a revamped line up in late 2019, Midnight Realm released new music in the form of single ‘I, The Architect’. A return to form, the track was successful enough to make its way on to the Apple Music ‘Breaking Metal’ playlists alongside massive artists such as Black Sabbath, Slayer and Blind Guardian.

The impact of the pandemic halted progress, but the band teased more music in 2022 with single ‘Kings
Will Crawl’. Their sophomore concept album ‘Engineering the Apocalypse’ is scheduled for release on 21 July 2023.
