Modha

Modha is the Berlin-based duo of Dhanya Langer (<a href="spotify:artist:4SWESjuSbInxK2MAbQGhbJ" data-name="DHANYA">DHANYA</a>) and Max Scholl — a collaborative project rooted in emotional honesty, sonic exploration, and an unhurried approach to making music in an increasingly accelerated world. Blending jazz, hip-hop, soul, and experimental R&amp;B, their sound is intimate yet expansive, drawing strength from imperfection and connection.

Originally split between Berlin and Diez, the two met as live session musicians before forming Modha. Their debut single “Life” gained over 3 million streams, and both went on to work individually with artists like <a href="spotify:artist:2PC54ZJmhrs4XtbLRaE6MA" data-name="JuJu Rogers">JuJu Rogers</a> , <a href="spotify:artist:7fw0E8WHdG3r9SuPBcGmWk" data-name="Sampa the Great">Sampa the Great</a> , <a href="spotify:artist:1FvjvACFvko2Z91IvDljrx" data-name="Mick Jenkins">Mick Jenkins</a> , K, and Douniah — before reuniting to focus on Modha.

Their 2023 debut album Through The Cycle was a genre-blurring meditation on mental health, featuring <a href="spotify:artist:5FdZDr2bMbEcnsEKRgO3rn" data-name="PHABO">PHABO</a> , <a href="spotify:artist:2inX1svE5swPuIBIJdrFyo" data-name="Noah Slee">Noah Slee</a>, <a href="spotify:artist:2uxntsFd3KMG4I7BizohxB" data-name="Jermaine Peterson">Jermaine Peterson</a> , and <a href="spotify:artist:4Y5SDqUMN0hnZ9bZTXjYvr" data-name="okcandice">okcandice</a> . A companion short film by Nils Hansen underlined the duo’s interdisciplinary vision.

Their upcoming second album At Your Pace (March 2026, Sonar Kollektiv ) deepens that narrative — reflecting on childhood, burnout, and the freedom of slowing down.
