London-born Simone Johnson, aka Monie Love, was featured on <a href="spotify:artist:5m7wCUhYhBh7A3A3YMxrbt" data-name="Queen Latifah">Queen Latifah</a>'s single "Ladies First" while still a teen, she also collaborated with De La Soul and The Jungle Bros with whom she joined the Native Tongue collective along side fellow group A Tribe Called Quest. After Down to Earth, Love issued In a Word or Two, which included production by PRINCE in 1993. Monie has gone on to have a successful Broadcasting Career, spanning 30 plus years, and can currently be heard on kiss1041fm Weekdays 3-7pm in Atlanta GA.
